Mondays suck, so here’s something beautiful to look at.

Wow that is beautiful

Indeed.
That livery is stunning.

Any Connie is pretty, but Lufthansa’s livery is the icing on the cake.

Modern liveries are, by and large, very boring.

And Lufthansa’s new livery is just blah. They even got rid of the gold. They should adopt this retro livery across the whole fleet.

Good morning to you too! (Although it’s already afternoon here)
A good retro livery is just what my Monday needed, thanks!

That’s pretty. Their new livery is very... German.

Tuning this massive beast of an organ for a recording session with a brass group.

That’s quite an instrument. Where is it? Looks like a nice room to record/perform in.

First United Church of Oak Park (west of Chicago). Organ is Casavant, 1982. It’s pretty large, probably in the top 10 for Chicagoland, but has the local reputation of being one of the loudest organs around.
It’s impossible to convey in pictures how comically massive the console is. Room acoustic isn’t bad.

I lived in Oak Park in the mid-70s. The console case is identical to the case on the Casavant at my old church in VA. My father oversaw Lét ourneau the rebuild in 1996. Talk about a room, this place is glorious to play in.
